Quote
During the late 1930s in Chicago, the transcontinental train, Flying Pussyfoot, is starting its legendary journey that will leave a trail of blood all over the country. At the same time in New York, the ambitious scientist Szilard and his unwilling aide Ennis, are looking for missing bottles of the immortality elixir. In addition, a war between the mafia groups is getting worse. On board the Advena Avis, in 1711, alchemists are about to learn the price of immortality.

Based on the award winning light novels of the same name, this anime adaptation follows several events that initially seem unrelated, both in time and place, but are part of a much bigger story - one of alchemy, survival and immortality. Merging these events together are the kindhearted would-be thieves, Isaac and Miria, connecting various people, all of them with their own hidden ambitions and agendas, and creating lifelong bonds and consequences for everyone involved.

So who has watched this? Enjoyed even?

I\'m currently on my second re-watch of the show and I have to say it still makes me laugh my ass off. Especially Isaac and Miria! They\'re just so cute and funny at the same time :3
That\'s sweetly countered by the awesomeness of Rail Tracer.

I\'ve read a lot of people not liking this one though so please show me your reasons :)

I personally loved it. It topped a lot of my favorite animes, and I only regret not having watched it sooner. I gotta say that the official Dubs for this anime are AMAZING. And I don\'t generally prefer Dubs over subs with Anime (I\'m a little more tolerable than others when it comes to Anime. But Asian movies HAVE to be subbed.)

I personally loved the idea, and the characters. I like the darkness it portrays, though it isn\'t really depressing or out of it\'s way violent. It all seems to fit and make a strange sort of sense. I\'d gladly get this on DVD or Bluray if I ever had the cash.

If you haven\'t seen it yet, watch it ASAP!

It\'s a masterpiece. It gets better with every episode. I wish there would be a second season or something. I think that there are still some books that haven\'t been covered by the anime.

It\'s sad, I still need to watch this at some point. Just haven\'t really been in the mood because of how depressing so much anime has gotten.

I\'ll wait until the end of times if necessary for Foxia\'s thoughts on this anime.
